About AAAPNT
Founded in October 2020, the American Association of Advanced Practice Nurses in Telemedicine is the first and only national professional nursing organization dedicated to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses working in Telemedicine, Telehealth, and Telepsychiatry.
Our Mission is to improve the conditions for all APNs working in telehealth by providing a consolidated resource with updated news, education, program development, plus APN and telehealth policy grassroots activism.
AAANPT believes in:
-
Full Practice Authority for all APNs
-
Transition to practice agreements for new graduate APNs that allow supervision by a physician or experienced APN
-
Consistent educational and licensing standards to advance the multi-state Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Compact License ( https://www.ncsbn.org/aprn-compact.htm )
-
Increasing pressure on colleges & universities to provide quality clinical placements for APN students
-
Advocating for permanent telehealth insurance coverage and reimbursement parity across all APN health care specialties

We believe all nurses can embrace who they are, define their future, and change the world.
